The chemical composition of pigments is stated for each colour on the label and in our technical literature. Pigments are sourced from leading European companies and provide the optimum resistance to light and environmental factors. Colour permanence, which is determined by the pigment(s) used, is indicated on each tube. The highest fastness is marked with three stars, the lowest with one star.
Best-quality pigments are bound in a specially selected linseed oil with a low acid number.
Some pigments, especially the whites and cobalt violet are bound with safflower oil, which has more clarity, is paler than linseed oil and dries slowly.
